Malike Cummings is the CEO of the Utility Regulation and Competition Office (OfReg), having joined the organisation in late 2019.  He has diverse and complimentary engineering, energy, academia and utility regulatory knowledge, skills and experience spanning over 29 years.

Prior to joining OfReg he was the Energy and Utilities Commissioner of the Turks and Caicos Islands, with responsibility for regulating the energy, water and fuels sectors.  His formative years in academia at the tertiary level, and significant experience in the electrical power engineering field in Guyana, contributed to his progressive career development and understanding of both the industry as well as regulatory realms.

Malike holds a Master of Engineering Degree (Engineering Management), a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical) and Certificates in Financial Management, Project Management and a Diploma in Technology.
